Hello Michael, Happy New Year to you and your family. I discovered your podcast last year as a result of purchasing an iMac computer and then surfing iTunes. The podcast is great. I look forward to it everyday. It serves as an excellent part of my daily devotions. May you continually be blessed!!!
January 10th, 2008 at 5:04 am
Found the podcast on iTunes. The grass withers and the flower fades, but the Word of our God endures forever. Blessings, Mike, as you continue this part of God’s call on your life.

I just found your wonderful blog and love this. I am an artist, stay-at-home mom, living in Massachusetts with my husband, two beautiful daughters and two dogs. I have several blogs, this link is to my devotional, which is both a personal journal and a list of resources. I found you through a flickr group that just started, it combines art with scripture. As I researched who these members were, I saw your link on one of their sidebars. What a find, what a treasure. You’ll find your link on my devotional…I called the category A Podcast Treasure. I plan on listening to your podcast daily. Thank you for your gift.
Blessings, Karen

Well I’ve been listening since at least Sept. 2005. I have even recorded a chapter back then, that’s how I know how long I’ve been listening. I don’t remember how I found the podcast though.

Hello my name is Bridget, I am from Denver, CO and love listening to the podcast every day. I recently was saved and your podcast helps me learn more of God’s word. I found the bible podcast by searching for christianity podcasts on itunes. Thank you for your dedication to the podcast and God bless.

Hi Michael,
Thank you for this podcast! I found it on iTunes when I was looking for a straightforward Bible podcast without any extra “stuff” – I just wanted to hear the Word in my car! I live in the Chicago suburbs (although I was born in England) with my husband and two teenage girls. I came to faith in Christ in adulthood and love my new life. It can be hard to focus on God when you’re as busy as I am with work and family, so I use technology to help me, and podcasting is an important part of this. Thank you for your ministry.

Hi Michael,
Thank you so much for publishing your recordings over itunes! I found your podcasts a little less than 2 years ago when I just typed bible under search and found the podcasts! It has been a blessing in my life. I find the scriptures really come alive in spoken word.
I am currently a High School Youth Pastor in San Diego, I just graduated from college and I am looking to someday go to seminary to get my Masters of Divinity. 3 months ago I got married to my lovely wife Jamie, she also works with kids as a kindergarten teacher. I love working with the High Schoolers and could probably go on for hours talking about the ministry!
Thanks Michael for the podcasts! May God continue to richly bless you! I will have to mention your name to my brother he is a senior at Azusa Pacific.

Wow- I think I’m the first person to leave a comment today!
My name is Sabine and I found this podcast near the beginning of last year during a very dark time in my life. It has helped me rediscover my faith in Christ and is part of my daily devotions. (which of course makes me miss it terribly when it has long breaks without updates) I have found comfort in listening to this bible podcast especially at night when I’m in terrible pain and cannot sleep. I love the format – The intro music is just awesome and Michael is the perfect voice to read these bible verses. I love this podcast and I hope it never goes away!!
Michael, thank you so much for taking the time to give us these podcasts!
January 10th, 2008 at 11:31 am
Hi! I’ve been listening to the podcasts through most all of Hosea, so I’m fairly new. I listen through iTunes while at work, and I love having the podcasts playing while I do what I do at my desk.
I think it’s cool you’re in music – my son will be heading off to college (UofL) this fall on scholarship (horn) and will be majoring in composition – wants to be the next John Williams! :)
I appreciate the work you do – take care and may God bless…

I received an Ipod Nano this past Christmas and was doing a Google search for Bible podcasts. I was thinking that it would be nice to listen to the bible being read while I work.
Here is a little about myself. I am a spirit filled christian, I am married, 20 yrs to Annie. I have four children, CJ, Zachary, Alisa, and Cassidy. My wife and I are the Jr. High Pastors at our church, River of Life Ministries in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where we both have attended for over 20 years.
I am blessed by your daily readings and really appreciate you doing this roll call.

Hi Michael,
I’ve been a subscriber for over a year. I’m a pastor of a young and exciting church in Broomfield, Colorado. I’m in my mid 30′s and I grew up in Western Australia.
I point our people to your podcast as a tangible way for them to get into God’s Word every day.
thanks for all the effort you put into it. I didn’t realize you wrote the music, but its very cool! Mostly though, its obvious that you carefully consider how to read God’s Word to an audience and I greatly appreciate that.
January 10th, 2008 at 4:40 pm
I just found this podcast this morning and I am THRILLED that I will be able to listen to the Bible everyday on the way to school and work. Things can be a bit hectic around the house in the morning, so I’ve found it difficult to spend that devotional time alone with God that I desire. But, when I’m in the car I’m all by myself and I simply cannot think of a better way to spend my time. I have been raised in the church, but I’m in the process of trying to make my faith my own. I hope that in listening to this podcast I will come to love God more as I ground myself in the truth of His character. Thank you so much, Michael, for this wonderful resource!

Hi Michael,
I have been listening for about a year. Found your podcast on Itunes with a “Bible” search. I live in Fremont, NE.

Thanks,

I am Jeremiah and I live in Pennsylvania. I found your podcast on the Zune Marketplace (the Zune equivalent of iTunes) a couple of days ago. I downloaded all the available readings and I have been listening to several each day. On the Marketplace they only have Hosea, 2 Samuel, 2 Corinthians, Proverbs, and the last four chapters of 1 Samuel, and I’m afraid I will soon run out of readings to listen to! I don’t know if you’re the one that put it up on the Zune Marketplace, but if you can, could you at least put up the rest of 1 Samuel? Anyway, God bless!

My Name is Mark, and I am from Salem, Oregon. I found you pod cast back in July of 2007. I barely and rarely find time to sit and read with my busy life. I found that the only time I could spare was when I was driving. So with my new Iphone and your pod cast, I was finely able to hear the word of God on a daily basis. I tested out a lot of audio books, but I could not find a voice that was easy to listen to. Then I heard your pod cast, and found the voice that I was looking for. Thank you so much for you pod cast. My morning and evening drives are so much more relaxed, now that I have Gods word to listen too.

My name is Somi and I subscribed to the bible podcast just under a year ago when I was surfing through itunes. After enjoying it so much, a couple of months ago, I chose to start donating monthly. I wanted to make sure that as many people as possible had a chance to receive God’s word read with such depth of understanding and conviction. I am passionate about the word of God, serving in my church mainly as an Old Testament instructor. I want to thank Michael for his commitment to bringing such goodness to the use of the internet. God is truly using your vision to make a difference. Praise God.

Hi. I’m Doug and we are ministering in Asia. I listen to the podcasts when I have time and usually download the whole books at a time. I love my NET bible and look forward to the day when all of it is available in podcasts. I have recommended this to many of my co-workers and find that listening to the Word has added a new dimension to my daily routines of reading and studying the Scriptures.
God bless you and your family.

Happy New Year Michael to you and your family. I just moved to Houston, TX from Miami. Funny, now that I stopped working and traveling so much for work, I find myself looking for God’s Word. He’s blessed me with a wonderful husband, 2 amazing children, a happy dog and many friends and a loving family. I feel I’m just beginning my relationship with Him, and I LOVE IT. I just found your podcast while surfing iTunes … and have only listened to the roll call. Something about it draws me in, and I plan to listen to it daily. Thank you for dedicating your time to sharing God’s Word.
God Bless you and yours.

Hello, I just listened to the roll call and I have really enjoyed the podcast for the path 3 weeks. My vision is to always have playing in my house the Bible or Strong Godly teaching. I want to produce radically strong children. I currently have one at 18 Months old. I am also a fellow professional who owns a video production company near Dayton Ohio. I started my business for the sake of getting more christians involved in broadcast television. With my church we are currently getting together to broadcast on tv as a cutting edge format. I am also involved in another Christian music television show that is called the Zone and it beats Saturday night live on occasion in Cincinnati Ohio.
Thank You
Keep up we are with you.

Howdy, from Garland, Texas! I’m Greg, in my middle 50′s and have been married to my only wife since just before my 50th birthday–she was worth the wait. I work in Plano, Tx and my wife teaches in the Dallas Independent School District. I have been downloading the Bible Podcast for almost exactly a year since I learned about iTunes about this time last year. Michael, you read well. I am currently working on a Pastor Leadership Masters degree online, so if I prove anything, one is never too old to learn or do new things. Afterall, Moses had me by a quarter century when he got his call to leadership from God.

Thank you for your dedication to the bible podcast. It has been a blessing for me. I am Geisy from Orlando, FL. Keep on spreading the Good News.

Hi Michael,
My name is Tim and I live in a small town in Central Illinois. I have been a member of the pod cast for a little over a year.
One night I was going through a valley with my faith. I was searching iTunes for a way to listen to the bible. A lot of the versions that are being read are the NKJV, not that there is anything wrong; but I like the NIV. Before I found you I downloaded a few others to see how the other person sounded. I am particular how they sound. When I heard your voice, it seemed that God was speaking through you directly to me. From that moment I have been an active listener and I don’t have any plans to stop.
The one question I do have is why don’t you go in order of the books of the bible? Why do you skip around?
If you need anything please don’t hesitate to ask.
Under His Watchful Eye,
Tim.

Thanks for doing an excellent job reading the Word, Michael. I am in my lower 40s and I live in Yakima, WA. My family and I are active in the Presbyterian Church. I found your podcast by browsing in iTunes a few months ago. Rather than listen to it each day, I intersperse your readings in amongst my various other podcasts I subscribe to, thereby peppering what I listen to with the Word. I am still back on Joshua, even though you are currently in Hosea. This works pretty well for me. Thanks for doing this! – Dave

Rochester, NY is where I call home. My 11 year old daughter says I am “too old for an iPod”, but I’ve been enjoying my Christmas gift. I was looking for an audiobook of the Bible and came across your podcast which I found much more enjoyable. I have only been subscribing for a short time, but am grateful for what you are doing. It’s interesting to read everyone’s comments and see where they come from and where they are in life. Thanks!

I found your podcast doing a Google search. I find it difficult to find time to read, but I have plenty of time during my daily commute to listen. I used to listen to another Bible podcast for about a year, and then I completed it. It used a different version of the Bible. I wanted to listen to a different podcast in a different Bible translation and found your site. You have a very professional voice. It’s a pleasure to listen to you. I e-mailed you earlier about contributing a reading, but you had a problem with your e-mail. In any case, I prefer listening to you than to me!
January 14th, 2008 at 6:22 pm
I found your podcast on Google. I was hoping to find an audio Bible to listen to while I drive to work, so I was pleased to find the Bible Podcast. You do an excellent job of producing this podcast. It’s all done in such a professional way.
I teach Bible study to a group of 5th grade students as part the Logos program at our church, which is in central Michigan. The last two lessons were on the book of Jonah, so I used the Bible Podcast readings of that book to cover the material, rather than having the students read the text. They really enjoyed it (including the intro music)! The students listened much better than they do when I or one of the students read, and they seemed to get more out of those two lessons, because the podcast made it more interesting. I’m hoping I can use other Bible Podcast readings as part of future Logos lessons.

Hi, I’m Tim, and I live in Dallas, TX and work in the finance department for a travel company.
I love the podcasts and it is clear that Michael spends considerable time preparing so he can read the passages with proper pronunciation and accentuation which makes a huge difference.
I’d love to listen to the archived podcasts but cannot seem to import them into the podcast area within Itunes. Anyone know how?
Thanks,
Tim Rodgers

I’m Cory and I found the Bible Podcast while searching around iTunes. I really love the freshness of the podcast and I can listen with my kids to the word of God. Thanks.

Hey Michael,
My name is Zach. I’m from Seattle and have been subscribed for a few months now. I work at a ministry called New Horizons with homeless and street-involved youth. I found this podcast via itunes searching for “bible”. Thanks for your work – I was personally THRILLED to see Hosea begin to download. I’d been reading and studying it myself, and it’s always a bonus to hear – the oral tradition brings a unique and necessary dynamic to interacting with and being transformed by scripture.

Thought I’d join in with the ‘roll call’ thingy…
Hello, I’m Rhodri, I’m from Nrth West London, England. I download and listen to the podcast (almost) every day. I find it very helpful to just take 5 minutes from loud music on the ipod and listen to God’s word – it’s good when one is on the move also. So great idea, and the music is pretty good to! What are they singing? Sounds Hebrew… hmmmmm
January 17th, 2008 at 11:07 pm
Found the pod cast on I-tunes, Love it, I try to listen everyday. I am telling everyone I know to listen and hear the word of God like it was suppose to be read..Thank you and God Bless

Hi Michael!
I just wanted to leave a comment to say how much I enjoy this podcast! I live in Des Moines, Iowa. I was looking for a way to incorporate more of the Word into my daily routine, and I thought, “Why not find a podcast that I can listen to on my iPod in the gym?” It is the perfect way to help refocus my crazy daily routine. Thank you so much for your work!!
Blessings!

My name is Michael and I live in Memphis, TN. I only recently started listening to the podcasts. I found them through the NET Bible web site (bible.org).
As a father of five, an airline pilot always on the go, and a graduate student, I find that I have to make the most of every spare minute. I read the bible every day, but I often find that I can progress more quickly listening to the podcasts.. I will generally listen to the entire book of Proverbs in a day or two, and that has been a tremendous blessing. I also listen to the other recordings on a pretty regular basis.
Thank you – you are doing a very valuable thing, and I pray that the blessing will be returned to you many times over.

Hi Michael. My name is Phil Neil and I live in Melbourne Australia. I am married with 4 young kids and work as a designer for a ceramic tile company.
I have a 45 minute drive to work each day and am always listening to podcasts from various ministries (never do get through them all).
Although I try to have a quiet time in the morning, things don’t always go to plan. Listening to you read as I drive is the next best thing to reading myself (that didn’t come out quite how I wanted it to!… but you know what I mean).
I found your podcast through an itunes music store search and have listened ever since. I love the way you read the word. There is a freshness about it that I really enjoy and the translation is not what I am used to as well (which can be a good thing).
Keep up the excellent work – I’m not surprised your subscriber network is growing so fast!
January 21st, 2008 at 3:34 am
Michael, I’m sorry I sent my comments to the wrong place at first. I’m a missionary in Brazil and found your podcast last summer while searching for free Bible downloads. Instead of a new chapter each day I try to listen to a chapter at least five times before going on to the next one. I really want to get those scriptures in my brain! I’m on my second month in the book of Proverbs and feel like I’m actually remembering where some of the verses are! Thanks for your great ministry.

Michael,
I have been subscribed since April last year, I find it helps give me a moment of daily dedication and meditation in the workplace. Thank you for all that you do. I too am a Michael Lee but from the UK and found your podcast through Itunes.

Michael,
I’m Randy from Virginia and just want to say thanks for all the hard, diligent work you’ve done. Found you on ITunes about 6 months ago – been a die-hard ever since. Also been letting everyone about this site and what is being done here.
Thanks again.

Hi Michael,
Thank you for a great podcast. I listen to podcasts of the Bible and sermons on my way to and from work and really like the Biblepodcast for the fresh translation, sound quality and clear, expressive reading. I have mp3 files of the Bible by several professional narrators and frankly prefer yours. It is good having the readings by chapter as I then tend to listen to a chapter here and a chapter there whenever I have time rather than getting part way through a whole book and not managing to hear the end. The theme music is good too!

Hi, I’m Lynny from Southern Illinois. I’ve been a subscriber for 9 months now. I found it on iTunes. I’m dyslexic, so being able to listen to someone else reading so smoothly really helps my comprehension. Thank you so much for doing this.

Hi Michael and all listeners,
I’m Julie from South Australia and after checking out several bible podcasts have settled on this one. I have only just subscribed in the past week. I especially like that listeners can contribute a chapter.
Keep up the good work, and thanks!

Hello Michael,
Greetings from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My wife and I recently discovered your podcast. What an awesome thing God is doing through you! We load a few up on our computer each night and fall asleep listening to the Word. Keep doing what you’re doing. I believe God is going to do much more through you. You are fulfilling the great comission in a really fantastic way.
Gods richest blessings to you and your family,

Hello Michael:
I listened to your appeal last night for the roll call and here I am from Oklahoma City, OK…. the heart of America! I have been in full-time Christian Biblical Discipleship/Counseling ministry for over 15 years. I have been listening to your podcast now for the last several months. I really enjoy listening in my car for my 25 minute drive into the office everyday. I love Proverbs! Proverbs 16:4 was revelatory for me on January 16. GOD IS IN CONTROL OF EVERYTHING! I was originally looking for a podcast of a modern translation to hear different perspective. This is great…. I am really enjoying listening to ACTS. TRULY the Lord is using this podcast in my life and ministry. Several times in listening, the podcast took me to review in my most common study translation, NKJV and to other versions to meditate and rethink. You are a blessing and you are being used in my life! THANK YOU!
Sincerely In HIS love and service,

Today, I thought, instead of reading the Bible it would be great if I could listen to it being read. I was thinking there should be something out there or someone would have thought of doing it using technology since “audio Bible” was popular way back before computers.
So, I did a search on iTunes podcast for “Bible Reading” and listened to a few. I preferred the one without the music in the background as my intent is to listen, absorb and meditate on the word of God.
Thanks M.Lee

Hello TBP, I can’t remember how I stumbled upon this ministry. It might’ve been through google looking for online bible audio or something. But I do remember that from the very first visit over a year and a half ago, I loved what I saw. Not just the idea behind it, but the fact that you guys are innovative and creatively publishing the Word of God. I have recommended this ministry to many of my close friends and brothers/sisters in Christ as well as linked to it in most of my blogs. I look forward to seeing how God continues to bless and how I can also bless you in your efforts to preach the Gospel to all.
Thank God for you and yours,
In Christ,

I’m Ed from Washington, and have been listening on and off for over a year now. I like having an audio version of the bible via podcast, particularly your readings, because it is without the corning drama, so prevalent in commercial versions these days.

I found this via a resource list that an InterVarsity Christian Fellowship staff worker provided me with.

Your podcast has blessed me so much. I am a stay at home mom who has wanted to have the Word permeate my mind and heart more throughout the day. I start the daily reading and keep repeating it all day long. My children are hearing the word as we do our chores. God’s word is so powerful, and I am thankful that He is using you to bring me the Word.

I a 45 year old mother of 4 (2 still at home), I live just north of Kansas City, MO. I’m also disabled and homebound during bad weather, so I am very greatful for the pod cast during those times when I’m unable to attend classes, social events or services at my church. Thank you and God bless you and your family.

I am a 50yr old living in Palmerston North, New Zealand. I have been downloading the podcasts for ages and don’t remember how I first found out about it. I bike a lot and use an iPod to listen when traveling to and from work as well as when I am in the gym, totalling Over an hour each day. It is great to be able to soak in the word during those times.
February 11th, 2008 at 12:30 pm
I love this project. My wife and I are leaving the country in July for a year long missions program. I was searching the internet for an audio verion of the bible to bring with us on our ipod. This is perfect. Thank you so much. The work you are doing here will be spread around the world. A lot of study will be aided by these recordings as we prepare and deliver the word and teachings of christ to the world. The upcoming year will see us to over 11 countries spanning most all of the world. So when I say this work will be spread to the nations… it really will be. Good work.
February 11th, 2008 at 6:31 pm
Listening from Walkersville, Maryland, I can’t get enough of the Word, I listen everyday during my hour ride to work. Only problem is the 20 gig iPod is filling quickly.
Thanks so much, I love the clarity of the reading of the Word.

Hi I’m Tim Waters from the UK. I download several days at a time as I don’t always get the space to do this each day. Its great, however, at the end of a long day to spend the last 15 minutes before dozing off into sleep with my iPod speaking the scriptures to me. If I can listen to a whole book at a time then that’s even better. Thanks so much for doing this for us.
February 15th, 2008 at 6:19 am

Hello Michael,
I found the podcast through iTunes. Started listening from Acts 17 on. Thank you for your ministry. I was particularly drawn to this particular podcast because of the translation read from – the NET. Clear and concise translation that sounds great when read aloud.

Hi I’m Kellie, from Vermont, USA
I’ve been looking for an audio Bible that wasn’t overly dramatic, or incredibly boring. Michael, your readings are exactly what I’ve been looking for!
I love to read the Word of God, but sometimes I just like to hear it spoken aloud. I’m excited to be able to share this site with my friends!

Greetings and Blessings from Wuppertal, Germany.
Thanks for Your great job in reading the bible. God bless You and your family. I take your podcast with me when ever I go on trips and listen to it during my study-time. It realy liftes me up and through listening to an other translation than our Lutheran bible it openes up my heart and mind in a new and fresh way.
Thank You for it.

First off, my name is Marc. I started listening to your podcasts in Feb. and liked what I heard. but as i kept on hearing I noticed one thing, that at the end of the reading you (michael) would give a “commercial” and that gets boring after a while.(please don’t be offended) . but the music is lovely and that is a good way to end each chapter. keep up the good work. ohh and by-the-way when you work with GOD a “hobby” never”gets out of control”. God is always in control.
March 6th, 2008 at 9:05 am
I am also in college(NCC). I live in Long Beach NY. I am 21years old. I also found your podcasts on iTunes, and now i carry them on my iPod. I just want to tell you that what we call “a hobby”, GOD calls it “my work”(ministry). thanks for your ministry.
March 6th, 2008 at 12:18 pm
Hello Michael,
I found your podcast on iTunes about a year ago. It was exactly what I was looking for. Just the pure Word of God. I subscribe to several other podcasts for learning/information such as Focus on the Family and Kay Arthur so I was just looking for my reccommended daily allowance of scripture that I can listen to as I exercise. You are truly a blessing to those of us who are already believers and also I’m sure to so many others who have not yet found Our Lord but who are searching! We’re so glad you have continued this “hobby”!!
March 9th, 2008 at 9:41 am
Hi Michael, I came upon this podcast on a whim as I was debating to purchase a Bible on CD to upload to my IPOD. How excited I am to find this podcast. I have so much trouble in my life lately that I am surrounding myself with God and His word. After all, aren’t we suppose to meditate on it day and night? This is a great way for me to do so, thank you!

Hi Michael,
I’ve been listening since about February, and I want to just thank you for your ministry. While I’m able to do a short devotional in the morning, along with a Psalm or two, I don’t have the kind of time to just sit and read the Word as much as I should. Your podcast makes it possible for me to listen during my commute and while I work out. Right now I’m working thru Acts and Amos.
Thanks, and congratulations on the birth of your son!
March 12th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
I was actually searching for podcasts that dealt with marriage when I discovered that there were even bible podcasts. So I started searching for that certain podcast that I could listen to. I decided to subscribe to this podcast because I like the sound of your voice. You have a soothing, calming voice and that helps me hear the words and take them in. Many of the other bible podcast readers spoke to fast and I felt like I was struggling to keep up with what I was hearing.
I am basically a baby Christian. I was baptized 5 years ago, but didn’t receive the nurturing from my church to help me mature. Unfortunately, they were only interesting in the numbers of people receiving Christ. I have since changed churches and have found a wonderful body of Christ where I am being fed and I am growing in my relationship with my Heavenly Father. This podcast is aiding me in that so I thank you for being here.
By the way, I have spoken so hightly of this podcast that I am going to transfer my podcasts to cd so that my Dad can listen to this podcast in his truck while he is traveling.
Thank you for being an earthly voice to our Heavenly Father’s Word.
Blessings!

Michael
Ron Hurst here. I found your podcast about 6 months ago. Between yours and two by Brian Hardin (daily audio bible and daily audio proverb) I am finally spending daily time in the word. I love the contrast of reading the bible book by book against the one year format. I pray that you be encouraged in your ministry and continue to make a difference in this world for Christ. I was surprised to hear you mention in a cast that you are at APU, I am a few miles down the 210. Perhaps one day we will meet.
Be blessed

I love your podcast. It has helped me to keep my promise to myself to “read” the Bible as a book instead of just picking out bits and pieces.

I am just getting started with the Bible Podcast, but from everything I have read so far, I feel I am up for a very fun ride! With my busy schedule it is very hard to find time to sit down and read the Bible every day. I am hoping that this will help me get back to my plan of reading through the Bible! Oh, I came across the listing for The Bible Podcast in the i-Tunes podcast directory!

Hi I am Mikey (Michael) i have found this podcast on the 03/30/2008 and it has been very good to me
March 31st, 2008 at 11:33 am
I first heard about the PodCast when Michael mentioned at Church one Sunday. I was having trouble sitting down and being able to retain what I was reading. Our Pastor Doug Scholton reminded me about the daily podcast and I’ve been hooked ever since.
I like to look at sites like http://www.bibleplaces.com when I listen. I can put a visual picture with the text I’m learning. I like to see on the map where Joshua was headed.
Thank you for everything you do Michael.

Hello – firstly thanks for giving a gift of your time in this way. Having a bible podcast is a great resource.
About me – my name is Juliet, I live in Birmingham, England. I’m not a Christian, but feel very stongly that I want a knowledge of what the bible says.
For me there is no better way than listening via the podcast, so thanks again!

Hi Michael,
I discovered your site while searching for bible podcast services on Google. The recordings are fantastic, your voice is very clear and the intro music very original and fitting. I download these recordings onto my MP4 and listen to them when out jogging, or while sitting on the bus to and from work. May the good Lord continue to shower you with all the help (both spiritual and material)you need to keep up this excellent service! Thank you.
April 9th, 2008 at 3:32 pm
Thank You,
I found your podcast while looking for an audio bible on line. Sometimes there is just not enough time in a day, and I thought that this would be a great way to get in some Bible time, when I don’t get a chance to sit down and read.
I can understand your lifestyle a little, where my husband studied music recording in college, and in Franklin, TN. We have our own recording studio and he and his sister are recording a record of the songs that the Lord has given them. He also leads worship at our church. I is so wonderful to see what the lord is doing in the hearts and lives of people, and also the road that He walks us through as well.
Thank you again, I pray a blessing on you and your family, and all the things God has allowed you to put your finger prints on.

I just heard the podcast the first week I had my IPod last month, and I’ve been hooked every since. We had a death in our family this week. In the middle of my grief and sorrow, I reached for my IPod and played 2 Cor 4 and one of my favorite passages about being pressed on every side and carrying the life of Jesus inside of us. What an amazing encouragement to me during one of hardest days of my life. The Lords spoke to me through His Word through this podcast. Thank you for your service to believers!!
Small town in Nebraska. Appreciate the cast soooo much!!

Hey, I live in LA, too. I’m a Christian whose life, and subsequently, faith, has recently fallen apart. I’ve been re-evaluating everything I thought I believed about God and Christianity. I’m so hungry for truth. I just subscribed today and have listened to the last 7 chapters of Corinthians, a chapter of Hosea, two chapters of Acts and some Judges. Thank you so much for this, I swear it’s like water to me right now…

Hi Michael- I have tried for years to read the bible daily, but always fall off the wagon. Now I and often my children too listen to 3-10 chapters in one sitting. I find that we are having many more family discussions about the Bible and what did or didn’t happen. I love listening to the podcast. God bless you and your family. I am sorry about your recent loss. I live in McMinnville, Oregon but was raised in Orange County. I went to Mission Viejo H.S. Next time I come down I would love to meet you and your family-although I’m sure you are very busy.
I am a family practice doc and I love to teach. I do a free clinic twice a month in Salem and have travelled to Guatemala to give my time away. I would love to start a medical podcast. Don’t know how yet though. Maybe I could come see your operation in the next year. Marion Reynolds, M.D.

I have been listening to the podcast since March where I accidentally discovered it looking for Bible reading podcasts. Of all the ones I found your is by far the BEST. I started with the book of ACTS the book came alive to me and I have pages of notes from
listening.
I have passed the word around at church encouraging others who are looking for something to add to their iPods. (or their Zen!)
Thank you so much for your hard work. I have thought of offering to help with reading. Maybe Ruth, seemed like a good book to be read by a woman.
I am also excited about the NET version of the bible and have been thinking of buying a copy.

I enjoy this podcast a lot and look forward to listening a couple times a week. I imagine this is time consuming “hobby” and the extra minutes in the day are few with two small kids in the house. I appreciate you, your talents, and your service to your brethren for Jesus sake.

Hi Michael, I am a software developer living in San Diego. I have a modest commute (about 20 minutes each way) and for a long time had been looking for a good bible-on-CD or something similar to listen to in the car. I tried a few free MP3 downloads and couldn’t ever really listen to them – too boring, too contrived, too fast, or too theatrical.
Recently I purchased an iPod and found your podcast in iTunes just by searching for ‘Bible’. I love it. The pace and inflection are perfect. God has truly gifted you with the perfect scripture reading ability.
I am married, have 3 children (one soon to attend APU) and one grandchild.
Thank you for taking on this project and for your contribution to the spiritual growth of many – myself included.

May 19th, 2008 at 9:25 pm
Ever since my grandmother stopped reading to me 12 years ago, I have been missing the opportunity to sit and listen to the Word, and allow my mind to enter into the story without all of the visual distractions that reading for yourself invites. The podcast helps the raise the Bible above being a mere document, into being the Living Word. Thanks!

This is a wonderful ministry that I’m sure will continue to grow. Found you on iTunes and will be spreading the Word, word. Ever thought of doing NIV in your “downtime” :-) or next year?
Your intonations and little nuances in your voice often give me new insight. You are talented and using the gifts you’ve been given to glorify Him, as we all should do but so often don’t. I’m an older LA area Biolan (!)and of course,at least decades ago in our little fleshy rivalries, thought “nothing good” could come out of Azusa! But hopefully we’ve all grown.
This isn’t necessarily meant for publication due to my tacky rivalry comments, but I do want to truly thank you for your time and effort. Sometimes in a jam I will actually take my laptop in the car to listen to your downloads as I hit the freeway.
One realization for me has been what LITTLE time this takes…Galations in 20 miles! I know you can identify as you navigate the 210!

Hi Michael,
My name is Brittany Thompson. I just subscribed to the bible Pod cast today through itunes and might i say I LOVE it! I am a wife and mother of one from Havelock, NC. I am also a musician and worship leader in my local church. I love worship and have just started seriously song writing and working in the studio the last year. I love it but feel a bit out of my league. Any advice would be most welcome by the way. You can visit my my space page at http://www.myspace.com/fragrantcreationz and hear my music if you want. I would be honored to have your input.
Thanks again for making the podcast it is awesome and so refreshing.

Wow! I love what you’re doing! I found your podcast while surfing for Bible readings to download from iTunes and your simple, straight forward approach was just what I needed. Now I can listen to someone reading the Bible to me while hiking! You have a great voice for this and there’s true conviction behind it. Please keep up the amazing work!
Question: Do you have any plans to read from other versions as well, or do you plan to go through the whole Bible in this one translation?
Thanks again for a much needed ministry!

I’m a 21 year old student of philosophy, Greek, and Latin at Notre Dame, but am originally from Raleigh, NC. I found the podcast just searching iTunes, and it is really enjoyable for long road trips. However, as a Catholic I wish the translation were something a bit more accurate and ecumenical. The Revised Standard Version might have been a better choice, since it is widely approved with beautiful yet generally approachable language.
In any case, thanks for the wonderful ministry.
Pax,
Jon
June 18th, 2008 at 11:19 pm
Jon, I’d be curious to know what inaccuracies you’ve found in the New English Translation.
June 19th, 2008 at 4:46 pm
Many Thanks from Ft. Benning, GA- US Army
June 19th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
Perhaps they aren’t so much inaccuracies as the approach to translation is dynamic as opposed to literal/formal. I tend to prefer translations which are more literal. These are the translations which tend to be approved by the Catholic Church. I understand that you’re podcast is meant for a particular audience, but given that one of its goals is to have a braod and uniting appeal, a translation such as the Revised Standard Version, which is the only one I know of that has all the major churches’ and ecclesial communities’ approval.
One example might be John 3:16. Any translation which fails to convey the subjunctive sense of the verb is inaccurate and can lead to theological error. May/might/should not perish but may/might/should have eternal life all work. Shall or will, however, do not. They are simply not the best choice of translation given the ancient text. The KJV, NKJV, RSV, NRSV, New American Bible, Confraternity New Testament, Today’s English Version, and Rheims New Testament all maintain the subjunctive sense. Others, the NET and NIV included, fail to have an accurate translation of this passage. It is precisely a misreading of this text and others like it that has lead to the widespread sola fide heresy, sad to say.
In any case, I appreciate the work.
Jon
June 19th, 2008 at 7:13 pm
I should add that my list of those with accurate translations is not exhaustive…I’m certain there are others out there that translate the verse acceptably, but those are just the translations I have on hand.
June 25th, 2008 at 11:12 am
Jon,
Thank you for your encouragement of the project, and I do appreciate your concern for the syntax chosen by the translators of the NET. I don’t think this is a case of importing theology back into the translation, however.
My (admittedly limited!) understanding of the use of the subjunctive in a hIna clause is that it indicates purpose – A is done for the purpose of bringing about B, with B being in the subjunctive.
I think the normal reader’s understanding of any of the available English choices for the subjunctive (shall, should, might, will) would imply simple purpose, and that the “not perishing” is in some way contingent on the believing. I don’t think it was John’s intent to comment on the certainty of saving following believing, and his choice of words doesn’t lead us that direction. Instead, he is commenting on the purpose for which Jesus was sent.
As an example of the choice of English words, if I said to you, “I’m giving you this life vest so that you won’t drown”, and “I’m giving you this life vest so that you might not drown,” there’s no difference in meaning. In the first instance, I’m using non-probable language, but I’m not implying certainty in the outcome of the action, I’m just indicating purpose. The second implies the same relationship. I think both would be acceptable English translations of a Greek hIna + subjunctive clause.
If someone wants to defend a sola fide doctrine, John 3:16 is not the place to do it. There are other verses (Ephesians 2:8-9 comes to mind) where a much more fruitful discussion could be had.
Again, I appreciate your input and comments. I should add that the NET was not the only translation we approached, but they were the only modern translation that immediately understood the significance and value of a project like this, and allowed us to use their text.
June 27th, 2008 at 7:44 am
Hi. I am Josh from Columbus, OH. I am listening to this while I run. Nice job! I have always wanted to read the whole Bible, so I am doing the the book download thing and starting with Genesis.
June 27th, 2008 at 7:50 am
Interesting discussion about the syntax, by the way. I, too, am leery about translations. For reading, I always use the NRSV, but the NET seems pretty good. I am no scholar, however.

I remember hearing once how ‘reading’ the Bible was conducted out loud, i.e. one would actually say the words vs. reading silently. For me, hearing the words has a more lasting affect and I can’t tell you how much I apprecieate the work you are doing…
Pax Vobiscum,

I found you on ITunes and I am listening and learning from 1′st Kings to start out my journey. So far, I love it. I am not familiar with this particular version of the Bible, so that makes it a little more interesting. A different translation can bring new light by making the language easier to digest. Thanks for the work you are doing. May God bless your ministry.
June 30th, 2008 at 9:52 pm
Michael,
thank you for this podcast. I’m a little new to this vast new world of podcasts and I love it. My wife and kids got me a Zune for father’s day. I have been an avid audiobook listener for some time–I have about a 30 minute commute. I have been able to experience many great books this way and now I have at my fingertips the ultimate book of truths. Thank you again.

Matt,
I find your comments interesting. I am reminded of the Confessions of St Augustine, when coming upon St Ambrose he was astonished that the bishop read the Scriptures to himself: “When he read, his eyes travelled across the page and his heart sought into the sense, but voice and tongue were silent.” This is strange to Augustine, the orator, who is used to reading things aloud, even to himself.
I, too, enjoy reading along with the “proclaimed” Word of God, either at Holy Mass or with this podcast, and it helps with a more intellectual study of the text. But I find, too, that the silent reflection on the text, without speaking or hearing the Word proclaimed, is conducive to a much deeper reflection of the heart. There are, indeed, merits to both ways, as it has been the constant tradition in the Church to “proclaim the Gospel,” although we must not forget this praiseworthy exercise of St Ambrose to which Augustine calls our attention: reading, reflecting and praying silently.
Just some thoughts.
Et tibi, Matthei, pax sit tecum.

Hi,
I’m Sharon from Nigeria… I just discovered you 2 weeks ago on iTunes and it has been an incredible 2 weeks! Much as I love reading, there is something about listening to the word of God even as I multi-task… I am experiencing afresh, the faith which comes from hearing the word of God.
Thank you so much for this exercise of love. May God bless you and richly reward you.

Dear Michael Lee, your voice is perfect for this work. I found your website perhaps a year or more ago but I didn’t have an iPod yet and was not able to take real advantage of this treasure (too busy to sit at the computer and listen). NOW I have my iPod and I have your lovely voice and the most incredible BOOK ever written in my pocket. I imagine to myself Jesus in the synagogue reading out the words and know that that was the way the Good Book was meant to be discovered. It doesn’t take the place of reading it ourselves but it saturates the brain cells in an entirely different way. Thank you a thousand times and I will definitely be donating, indefinitely!

How to Sort by Book (answer Hugh’s question)
I noticed a poster asked the question of how to sort by book since some are listed by Itunes in “podcast” and archives are listed as “music”
I found the easiest thing to do was to create a playlist and title it for each book. So you have a playlist called “Romans” and you drag all the podcasts or music into that folder and then you can just play the playlist to listen by book.
Hope this helps,
Tim

Thank you for your pod cast. I have only been listening for a few months and am ever grateful for this ministry that you have.
I think that your voice and expression are perfect and look forward to your reading of the word daily.
I am also very pleased to have learned about your other interests and pursuits; you are in my prayers as a fellow worker in the harvest, both in seeking the lost and nourishing the flock.
In addition to praying for your personal walk and this and your other ministries, I will look for opportunities to share with you when and if anything arises.
Thanks again for your service to the human race and fellowship of the body!
In Him,
Todd Fox

Hi. I’m Diane from Long Island, NY. I listened to my first 3 podcasts today and want to thank you. I’ve been listening to a few other podcasts while trying to find my way back, and I think this was a wonderful choice for me. Everything I can listen to will only help with my growth. Today I downloaded 6 podcasts for the morning (I try to listen to as much as I can during the work day). I think I’ll be sorry I didn’t download more…but that’s for another day.
Thank you for helping me find my way home.
Diane

I’ve been looking for a way to download scripture and have it with me on my ipod. I’m an APU grad so I was pleased to hear your teaching there. I will comment more in the future. I want to listen to the podcasts while I run, gives me time to meditate on what I hear.

I’m 18 and I found the podcast searching through itunes. I’ve loved having this great resource and have been very blessed by it. Keep up the great work and God bless you Michael Lee for your sacrifice in making these free recordings.

I found your podcast in the iTunes store. While I have found other Bible readings on the internet, this is the only one I have found that is in the form of a podcast. I appreciate the ability to download your episodes for me to listen to on my MP3 player. It lets me choose when and where I want to listen. May you be richly blessed as you serve Him.

Hi,
I’m Maria from King of Prussia, PA. I grew up in Treasure Island, San Francisco, CA. I too found your podcast on iTunes. I’m new to PA and curently looking for a solid biblical church. It wasn’t easy to find a reader than was nice to listen to, but your reading was and it keeps me focused. I hope to use your podcast to get me back on track with hearing and reading the word on a regular basis, eventually daily. Thanks for the motivation.
Blessing,
Maria LS
Keep us updated on the little ones.

TheBiblePodcast is wonderful! I download it to my ipod and have been playing it for my kids as we drive, starting from the beginning of the Bible. The New English Translation is also easy for young kids to understand.

I just found the podcast a week ago. I really dig it. I was just listening to the book of Genesis while I mowed the lawn. It was great. Thank you so much for blessing so many with the gifts our great King has given you.

From Katy, TX – searched for Bible readings and found yours. After initial subscription d/l Acts & 1 Kings, can’t figure how to get more or even get them to play – being a novice to technology is such a pain! At my age, I’m just a bit slower than most but I do treasure God’s communication to us. He does, indeed, have the Words of Life! Thanks for making them available in a flexible, hands-free format.

I love this podcast and would like to volunteer to help read the Bible with you. The Bible is the most important book ever and the more we listen, the better. Thanks!

Hi to all,
This is one of the most amazing Christian sites I’ve visited. I love to read aloud my Bible daily. It strenghtens me inwardly and produces peace and wisdom in my soul preparing me for the day ahead.
What a joy to know you my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus!
Be blessed in every deed and word. Forever in Lord’s service…

I was searching through Podcasts in the hopes of finding something similar to an audiobook of the Bible. My boyfriend has dyslexia and therefore finds it difficult to read the bible daily, so I was hoping to find something like this. It’s fantastic! The narrators voice has perfect intonation and is so easy to listen to. God Bless!!

Hi
I found the podcast through iTunes but am going to start downloading the books one at a time *and of course leave a donation). We’ve got some folk who have come to know the Lord but whose reading is not great. These will be perfect for them – and good for me too.
Thank you so much for all this.
May Jesus bless you for this important ministry.
By the way, I love the start to Genesis chapter one.
December 13th, 2008 at 9:57 pm
I like the podcast, and the reading is great. But why the music before and after every chapter? Also, when are the books of Numbers and Deuteronomy coming? Nonetheless, I’m glad you’re doing this—free audio Bibles rock! God bless!
December 21st, 2008 at 8:26 pm
I just found your podcast tonight at Journey with Jesus. What a blessing for the Church! I love the music at the beginning and end of the readings. Michael you read well! Thanks!
December 29th, 2008 at 12:57 pm
Hi Michael
Like many others, I came across your Podcasts on ITunes. I subscribed to it a few weeks ago. Since then I have listened my way through Judges, Kings and a number of Paul’s epistles.
In listening to the podcasts, I’ve come across things that I hadn’t really picked up before through reading. Paul says to read his letters out loud to the church. In hearing it, it brings a new perspective.
Thank you so much for the time you give in making these podcasts. May God bless you abundantly in this ministry.

Hi, my name is Chrissy and I’m from Pennsylvania, U.S.A. I live nestled among the rolling hills of the beautiful Appalachian Mountains.
From September 2007 to September 2008 I was in and out of physical therapy for a condition called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome. It is very painful and can be debilitating, but by the grace of God I am walking again. During my second round of PT I listened to my iPod for encouragement, because I had taken it upon myself to continue therapy in spite of my insurance expiring for the year. It was a lonely experience – being in a gym full of healthy, capable people. Often I listened to the Bible Podcast. (I was listening to the book of Acts.) Listening to God’s word (and worshiping Him) helped me get through the lonely, grueling hours every week.
I plan on returning to physical therapy to continue my recovery and maintain my mobility and strength.
Jesus said,”If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” (And, He said so much more!) So, I’m believing that I am healed, regardless of the pain I feel. My healing has been sealed in Heaven and I will see it manifest. Praise God!

Hi Michael,
I cannot say how please I was to find your podcast on iTunes! I’m dyslexic, and so find reading the bible as text REALLY hard work. I’d tried Cassettes from the public library before, but the translations they use were equally incomprehensible to me, and sometimes the reading was of poor quality; as if the speaker really didn’t want to be there. For years I gave up on trying to read the bible, just hearing the weekly readings at church and the bits I remember from hymn tunes.
You read so clearly and well, and the choice of translation is excellent. You are so generous to keep the server running and keep access free to all as well. God bless you in this work, as you bless us with it! J :o)

I found you browsing in the iTunes store. My wife listens on iTunes on my iMac and I listen on my BlackBerry when I’m driving. Both are amazed at how much of the Bible you can hear in a short time. We love it. You do an excellent job. Thank you! May God bless you for this ministry.

I am gratefully praising God for your willingness and sensitivity to participate with the Holy Spirit in this wonderful work. The power of His word is powerfully transformative but it must be heard to be effective!
I work with Bible Translation missions and have come to appreciate the real love that is exhibited by those who work to share God’s heart with people.
You’re an inspiration to all of us to yield to God’s call, however and whereever it comes. God’s blessings are upon you, brother!

I have developed a reading plan that will take me thru the NT 30 times in a year but it takes about an hour and a half a day. I have 3 jobs and I am very busy and “on the road” locally quite a bit. So fulfilling my plan is a dream not a reality until now! My son and I got iPhones for his birthday and he is quite adept at using his iTunes account. I asked him if such a service as this podcast was available. He found it for me so I can “read my plan by hearing the Scriptures” on the podcast while driving and while at the office. I would be interested in contributing a reading but I prefer the NASB. Is this version offered or in the planning for addition? THANK YOU for such a wonderful way to honor the Word of God!
March 10th, 2009 at 7:56 am
Thank you so much for touching my life and bringing me closer to Jesus and the word of God. My sister found your podcasts on itunes and since then you have truly blessed my whole family. Plus now I can’t stop listening to and reading HOSEA! Thanks so much. MY God continually bless you and replenish you for the work you are doing to spread his word.

I recently found your podcast when I was looking for a GOOD audio of the bible. I love listening to bible studies, but a new friend suggested listening to straight scripture as well. This is the only one I’ve found with a very “listenable” voice, with great inflection. When I listened to Philipeans my heart sored from the joy you conveyed. THANK YOU SO MUCH for making this available for us. I will be making a donation to support your work, and downloading the rest of the books currently available. As a new (11 mos) believer I have been eager to read the whole bible, but it’s hard to squeeze that in without neglecting intensive study of areas necessary for growth. This is REALLY going to help me walk straighter by giving me a way to learn that fits into my schedule better. Gym workouts are going to be so much more productive now with the Word driving me on.

Thank you for your Bible Podcast. I came across it while surfing iTunes for audio and video podcasts. I love your reading which is clear and with the right emphasis on words and phrases. Your voice sounds good too. I only don’t like the intro and outro music. I’m sorry to say this but it doesn’t have a ‘peaceful’ ring to it. I hope you will introduce something else. Thanks again and God bless you in all you do.

Hi!
I’m Jessica from North Carolina and I found this podcast through searching for Scripture readings on iTunes. I was looking for just straight Scripture, with no music behind it and this one’s my favorite. I listen to it on my iPod in the mornings when I’m getting ready. It’s an awesome way to keep the Word in my heart!
Thanks for doing it!

I listen to an I-pod or other MP3 player while I work as a school custodian. (Ear muff hearing protection allows me to hear ear buds even while running the vacuum cleaner) I started with music, then went to books on CD. Now I have a goal to listen to the entire Bible. Thanks for the blessing.

I just got a ipod. Started looking for good uses for it and googled to your site. Listened to your Jan 2008 message introducing yourself. It piqued my interest when you said you teach at APU. My son is currently finishing his junior year at APU. So this is great! Thanks from Huntington Beach, CA.
May 7th, 2009 at 12:38 pm
I have a hard time reading these days for some reason. It bothered me for some time that I could no longer read God’s word. I decided to see if I could find a podcast which would fill this void, since podcasts have replaced TV and books for me anyhow. I have found quite a few Bible Studys and Bible Readings. Yours is absolutely the most engaging. I like the way it sticks to one book until finished and then moves on. Reading through the Bible in a year is a great endeavour but I think it is more important to understand and take in what you have read rather than to have something to tick off your to do list. Thanks ever so much.
May 12th, 2009 at 9:04 am
Im always looking for help to get the word in my head and because of your wonderful talent it makes that easier.
Thanks From ST.Louis Mo.

I actually found this a couple years ago when looking for a Bible podcast. thebiblepodcast.org was the end of my search. Thank you. :)
I don’t listen to it every day, but I use it as free audio Bible readings available for listening to in the car as I drive, or any other time I want to listen to the Bible without Internet access. Again, thank you.

Hi Michael,
this is Sara from Hanover, Germany. I found your podcast while browsing through Itunes searching for a good bible podcast like many others. And I’m listening to it during my long exam studies. It really helps me keeping my mind on God and helps me to fresh up my knowledge of the bible. Thank you that you always take the time to read the bible for us.

Dear Michael, fellow Believer and “Reader of His Word”, just a plain sincere “Thanks” from the heart. I found this site while looking on the internet for a site that would let me download the Bible to my Zune player. As Paul would tell Timothy, “Carry On My Brother,Spread the Word”

I have been looking for a podcast that has readings of the text of the bible only, without personal commentary, ruminations, evangelizing, travelogues, etc. Just the Word, so that get some sense of continuity to the text. I have found that in this podcast. You have a strong, pleasant voice and read with understanding and just the correct amount of feeling. Thank you for this podcast.
June 19th, 2009 at 11:32 pm
I ran across your podcast on Itunes searching for an audio book of the Bible, I think it’s wonderful what your doing.
many thanks, Shalom rav

Found you on iTunes. Really works for me. I get my M. Lee Bible reading fix first thing every morning. I love the “hands free” feature too – listening to the reading with both hands firmly grasping my morning cup of coffee. Fellow worship leader from New England. Thanks.

Outstanding job. Keep up the good work my friend.

I have found the podcasts to be a great blessing, listening while traveling or driving. The readings let you focus on the meaning and not the reader. Great Job!

Hi, I’m Rabby Male 24 from the Philippines. I saw your podcast in iTunes. I tried once and I immediately clicked the Subscribe button.
May the Lord provide for you so that you can cover the entire Bible!

I found your readings from an iTunes search back in Jan 2009. I tried several others in iTunes but found yours to be the best balance. I am a divorcee with two children and have found listening to your podcasts at night to be very soothing and inspirational. On more than one occasion I have found clarity in God’s words while listening your readings.

Hi Michael. I just happen to google bible podcasts today and came across this site. I enjoyed hearing the scriptures read aloud. You have a very soothing voice and that makes a big difference when hearing the word. Continue to use this God given idea and gift for his Glory! God Bless You.
July 28th, 2009 at 10:16 am
July 28, 2009 I just found your podcast on iTunes. I really like the way you read the scripture. I am subscribing to your podcast and have heard your struggle with the technology and finances. [who isn't struggling with finances now?] That was dated some time ago and was wondering what your current status is. Especially for the visually impaired. Thanks for your service and God Bless.

August 21st, 2009 at 9:29 am
Richard,
I am here, I’ve just been gone backpacking for the past month, and didn’t leave enough podcasts in the queue. The daily podcasts will be back on starting Monday.
Thanks all for your patience.

What a great job you do in service to the Lord.

I love your readings of the scripture. Your podcast is by far my favorite audio bible version to listen to. I found your podcast while searching for a good audio bible to download to my .mp3 player. Most of the versions I tried, either read too fast and my mind couldn’t keep up to absorb anything, or too monotone and my mind fell asleep or they added too much background noise – music or drama – that became too distracting. I was surprised at how extremely difficult it was to find a simple yet engaging version with a good translation. As a huge fan of the NET bible, your podcast has all three, simple but engaging with a great translation. I anxiously await each new book. Please keep up the great work!

perfect… thank you
September 13th, 2009 at 11:15 pm
I love your readings, they are very sincere and inspired! Thank you so much. This site is great for those days when I am too lazy to read the Bible on my own and it helps to give a greater depth of Biblical understanding hearing it sometimes and reading it others. Thanks again.
September 14th, 2009 at 7:37 am
I listen to your podcast daily. I find it very helpful to follow along with the netbible as you read. Please continue. The last podcast I have available is 9/3/09. I miss your podcasts when they are not online.

Hello Michael. Wonderful podcast. I found it on the internet thru archive.org (under spirituality and religion) then linked over. This is proving to be a good way for me to read Exodus and Leviticus, I am following along in my Bible as you read.. Your voice is rich, the music is a wonderful addition to the word. If anyone would like a continious stream, on the arhive site you can start at the chapter you choose then it will continue on to the following chapters thru-out the book you selected.. good when you would like to have a continuous stream without having to click play at each succeeding chapter.. Thank you for making such an enjoyable opportunity to hear the word. God Bless you and your family.

Hello :)
Found your podcast through a search on my Kindle 2. I have not gotten it to work on the Kindle so I got online to see what it was like on my computer. I am very excited about this.
I hope to get it working on my Kindle soon (maybe if you get time, you could add instructions on your frequently asked questions).
Thanks for all you are doing!
November 17th, 2009 at 1:39 am
I have been so blessed to listen to the Bible everyday. I can feel Holy Spirit transforming me through the truth of the word of God. Thankyou.
December 9th, 2009 at 11:10 am
Thanks so much for your hard work and dedication to this project that has been a great boon to my daily devotions. I’m a big fan of the stripped down and very appropriate style that you use and I know you have been a blessing to many other believers. Your delivery and style skillfully points the listener to the weight and message of His word rather than anything else. Thanks for doing something that has eternal value and if you ever are too bogged down and could use some help with the audio side of things, I also have experience there, and am looking for places to help. Best regards.
December 10th, 2009 at 5:42 am
Thank you for your work.
I will donate as soon as possible
found the bible podcast on itunes and downloaded and listen while mopping at work. What a blessed way to get the “sword” during my busy day!!
May the Lord bless you!!
Merry CHRISTmas!

Greetings. Name is Daniel Kim, Im a Born again Christian, 17yrs. old and I am a burning One in Atlanta, Georgia! I Thank God for I, being felt unburdened by a voice of you, feeding my inner man as through these podcast that is read all through out the whole Bible. I mean it drives me insane when I read the first ten chapters of Genesis 100 times in one day or so… makes my view on the old testament useless to chew on it.(Hopefully this all made sense. lol) But yea, I thank you so much, and may God Keep blessing you! :)
December 30th, 2009 at 5:51 am
You are doing a good work. Thanks.
January 1st, 2010 at 11:57 pm

January 11th, 2010 at 7:46 am
Your podcasts have changed my life. I commute every morning to work (30 minutes each way) and when I listen to your pods I feel so connected to God and his message! Thank you for offering this little piece of the puzzle!
January 16th, 2010 at 10:16 am
Hi, is Abim from UK and so grateful for what you and your wife do. Let one have the word to send to one’s mind is so awaking and pointing one to the right way in life. Talk of when one does not want to read the word, but when it is read one feels to refresh again. I pray this ministry goes from strength to strength.I enjoy the reading and follow along with my Bible. God bless you.
January 23rd, 2010 at 2:28 pm
I was looking on iTunes for a good reading of the Bible, with clear voice. I tried a couple of different ones, and ended up sticking with this one. I have iTunes set to keep the 3 newest unlistened to ones on my phone to listen to during my work commute. It changes my focus on the day.
January 24th, 2010 at 12:59 am
I just wanted to hear the bible while in the kitchen or doing chores around the house. I just typed in audio bible readings to see what would come up and clicked on this sight. THANK YOU for doing this. K.
January 24th, 2010 at 2:40 am
I wasn’t getting round to reading the Word during a hectic time in my life. A friend reminded me that Faith comes from HEARING the word of God, & then I found your podcast on iTunes – God is good!!! Now its the first thing I listen to in my 2hour commute to work, followed by some worship music whilst I doze!
I REALLY appreciate the time and effort you put into this for people like me. Thank you.
(FYI, I’ve been asked to show some young people in a church youth group how to download the podcasts too, getting Gods word to them in a way they relate to!)
Oh, and in answer to your question; Guildford, UK.
January 25th, 2010 at 5:38 pm
I appreciate your work. Thank you.
January 29th, 2010 at 11:26 am

Thanks very much for this service. I started listening to sermons, then thought it would be good to listen to the Bible directly. I mainly do this when I am traveling away from home. I have also bought some audio material from Bible.org to help. It seems to be a very good translation.
March 26th, 2010 at 11:52 am
I am Robby, I’m in Men’s chorale at APU, I saw the site through your facebook a while back. I just really like this because it allows me to listen to the bible when I get ready and clean my room and stuff. So Thanks!

Found you through iTunes. I’ve been looking for a podcast or something where I can listen to God’s Word on my iPod. There are other good ones out there, but the voice on this one seems to be easier to listen to. I notice that there haven’t been any updates since February. Hopefully this ministry will continue. Please keep us updated.
Thanks again,
J.B.

June 24th, 2010 at 11:57 pm
hi Mike, just wanted to say thanks for the great work you are doing and also i just like the way you speak the word of God. It’s so full of gravity and the message is quite clear. Forget that it is from a human and really feel like the voice from Heaven Itself. I listen to it about an hour everyday.
You are really blessed to be an instrument of the Lord and give heart and hope to many.

I found this website by searching on OneRiot for “Audio Bible”. I am 55 years old, an American, and a minister with Iran Alive Ministries. My specific ministry is with women leaders in Iran. My husband and 3 grown children and I live, work and minister in Silicon Valley, San Jose, California. I want to use the podcast as just one more way of training my ear to be alert and open to the voice of God daily. Thank-you, and I commend you and your family for hearing the Voice of God and obeying his call. Love in Christ!
July 11th, 2010 at 1:37 pm
I’m Linda from Brisbane. I appreciate being able to download these readings and listen to them on my MP3 player as I walk, ride or travel to and from work. Thanks for making these available, and doing it so well.
August 3rd, 2010 at 4:24 am
I have been enjoying your podcasts for at least a year via iTunes. I leave them permanently on my iPod too. I am curious why you’ve stopped recording? I know you took a couple of needed breaks; perhaps you’re taking the summer off? Your voice is super expressive and great for just this type of media! I wish you the best.
August 6th, 2010 at 4:44 am
I love the podcast but I’m concerned that there haven’t been any updates since February, 2010. Where did you go? I pray that all is well with you.
